2011 KBVCM Relay Lottery Results Posted!

Individuals who entered the 2011 KeyBank Vermont City Marathon Relay Lottery between January 1 and 31 were notified via email February 7, 2011 with the results of their entry.  This year saw 1089 2-person Relay Lottery entrants and 928 3-5 person Relay Lottery entrants. 700 teams are expected to participate in each of the relay events on May 29, 2011.

Team Captains selected in the lottery were provided a unique reservation link to the Team Manager platform.  Team Captains intending to use their team will follow the reservation link to register themselves as the the Team Captain, create a team name and invite team members to join.

Team Captains selected in the lottery who are unable to use their team should retain the unused reservation code, as it will be required by the new Team Captain. Each team must supply a complete roster online by May 13, 2011.  Any team changes after May 13, 2011 must be handled at race Packet Pick-Up at the Sport and Fitness EXPO on May 27 and 28, 2011.

There are several opportunities for individuals not selected in the lottery to gain access to the Relay:
  1. Use the RunVermont message board to locate a team for sale/looking for team members. Directions for using the message board are available here. RunVermont requires that no team be sold for more than its face value ($120 for a 2-Person team and $185 for a 3-5 person team).
  2. Fund raise for a Miles for a Mission partner and earn a spot on a team. Visit the Miles for a Mission page for a list of our partners and information of which have relay spots available.
  3. Visit RunVermont’s blog, The RunDown for information on how to enter our video contest for a free relay team.
