"I am still in awe of your volunteer ratio; 8000 runners with 1700 volunteers, this is unheard of - it was so perfect"

Secure Bike Parking at Waterfront Park
How does it work?  Runners and spectators drop off their bike (or stroller, scooter, etc.) in a secure area at the entrance to Waterfront Park to make bicycling convenient, reduce traffic congestion and reduce vehicle emissions.  Volunteers will watch your bicycle so you can walk around and enjoy the YAM Scram and marathon.  Avoid the fuss...and leave your bike with us!

YAM Scram Bike Parking (Saturday): opens at 7:30am and closes at 11:30 am; all bikes must be picked up by 11:30am.  Location: Lake Street, off of College Street at Waterfront Park.
Marathon Bike Parking (Sunday): opens at 6:30am and closes at 3:00pm; all bikes must be picked up by 3:00pm.
Location: Lake Street, off of College Street at Waterfront Park.

Race Day Parking

Free parking is available within a 1/4 mile of the start area. Parking lots are located on St. Paul Street, Bank Street and Battery Street. Please do not park in Waterfront Park, Oakledge Park, or any of the church parking lots.  Meters are not enforced on Sundays.

Handicapped Parking near Waterfront Park
Vehicles with a handicapped license plate/pass may access the following parking before 8:30am or after 11:30am.  For the safety of our runners there is NO spectator vehicle access across the race course (Battery Street) between 8:30am and 11:30am; please plan accordingly.  These parking areas do fill up.
•       Pease Grain Parking Lot, at College and Lake Streets
•       Lake Street, north of College Street (near ramp/stairs into Waterfront Park)
•       Lake Street, south of College Street to Main Street
•       Perkins Pier Parking Lot

Did Your Car Get Towed?
Bummer!  Vehicles are usually towed because they were in violation of the City Ordinances, or were towed from a privately owned lot, at the request of a property manager or owner. In either case, the company that towed the vehicle is required to contact the Burlington Police Department communications center and report the vehicle's registration, make, date and location from where it was towed. During regular business hours, you may call (802) 540-2380; after hours please contact (802) 658-2700.
