BAA Qualifier KeyBank Vermont City Marathon is a Boston-qualifier. We automatically provide BAA with our results after the race.
RRCA Championship The KeyBank Vermont City Marathon is the 2013 RRCA Vermont Marathon Championship.
Any entrants in the KeyBank Vermont City Marathon who wish to compete for prize money, or RRCA and/or USATF awards, must race in compliance with RRCA/USATF/IAAF and KBVCM rules. Some rules to be aware of:
1. The use of headphones is not allowed for competitors competing for prize money and RRCA/USATF awards. If you choose to wear headphones and finish in a money-winning place, you may be subject to forfeiture of prize money and RRCA/USATF awards.
2. Competitors competing for prize money may accept nutritional aid (water, other fluids, food, gels, etc) only at one of our “official aid stations”. Accepting nutritional aid from any outside source (family member, friends, un-official front-yard stations) may subject a competitor to forfeiture of prize money and RRCA/USATF awards.
3. “Pacing” may only be done by officially entered competitors with bib numbers. You may not have a friend, family member, training partner, coach, etc who is not entered in KBVCM alongside you for an extended period of time whether on foot, on a bicycle, or in a vehicle. Non-compliance with this rule may subject a competitor to disqualification.
Any competitors who earn prize money must hold a current active USATF membership in order to receive payment. For international runners, membership in your country’s national governing body for the sport of running is required, and your payment may be subject to IRS withholding.
USATF and RRCA rulebooks can be found at their websites. If you intend to compete for prize money please familiarize yourself with the rules of competition. Contact our office via email if you have any questions.
